Universal Precision Technology is a well-established organization that specializes in the manufacturing of precision components and sub-assemblies for the aerospace, aircraft, military, medical, optical and defense sectors. We are looking to increase our diverse and dynamic team with the addition of an accomplished individual.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produce high quality components within tight tolerances, using manual milling, turning and grinding machines
- Utilize and comply with all AS9100 REV D and ISO 9001:2015 manufacturing and quality standards
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Verify dimensions of parts and tools using precision measuring instruments
- Assemble and install components when required
- Extensive use various deburring/reaming hand tools, buffing/polishing wheel and drill presses as required in a machine shop environment
- Abide with instructions, regulations and safety policies
- Keep Machines and surrounding area clean while maintaining a safe work environment
- Other duties may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION
- Minimum 1 Year experience
- Tool & Die Maker Certificate is an asset
- Excellent knowledge of tooling, gauges and the ability to operate and understand precision measuring tools
- Effectively communicate information with managers and other employees, both orally and in writing
- Must be independent with a willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra
- Able to work under pressure

- Security clearance
- Own Steel-toe safety shoes
