Universal Precision Technology is a well-established organization that specializes in the manufacturing of precision components and sub-assemblies for the aerospace, aircraft, military, medical, optical and defense sectors. We are looking to increase our diverse and dynamic team with the addition of an accomplished individual.
Reporting to President and Vice President the successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail with a good grasp of machining and manufacturing processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze blueprints and other documentation to create work orders, monitor work orders/travelers and job requirement requisition forms
- Alter and prioritize schedules to meet customer deadlines and forecasts
- Perform, and assist with capacity planning
- Production time study and data gathering to identify production process improvements
- Communicate with inhouse departments on a regular basis to ensure daily production requirements are achieved
- Assist in developing tools for improving accuracy and timelines of estimating cost
- Work in compliance with all applicable Health & Safety, Quality and company standards, related policies and procedures
- Follow and comply with all AS9100 REV D and ISO 9001:2015 manufacturing and quality standards, regulations, legislative and customer requirements to ensure the high standards are maintained
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION
- Mechanical Engineering or closely related field with a minimum of 5 years on the job experience within a relevant industry (this is a MUST requirement)
- Strong knowledge of the Machining Operations and Processes is an asset
- Familiar with bill of materials (BOM) structure for Fabrication
- Commitment to and demonstration of high ethical standards governing professional behavior and interactions
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills in a fast paced and demanding environment
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats, including demonstrated capability to develop strong
- Interpersonal working relationships and work in a team environment

- Security clearance
- Own Steel-toe safety shoes
