Universal Precision Technology is a well-established organization that specializes in the manufacturing of precision components and sub-assemblies for the aerospace, aircraft, military, medical, optical and defense sectors. We are looking to increase our diverse and dynamic team with the addition of accomplished individuals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail with a good grasp of manufacturing processes specifically in metal processing and fabrication;
- Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates;
- Assist in developing tools for improving accuracy and timelines of estimating cost;
- Follow and comply with all AS9100 REV D and ISO 9001:2015 manufacturing and quality standards, regulations, legislative and customer requirements to ensure highest standards are maintained
- Abide with instructions, regulations and safety policies (wear appropriate PPE)
- Any other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- 5 years’ experience, estimating with relevant industry’s
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field
- Knowledge of Aerospace machining manufacturing processes is an asset;
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Auto cad experience is an asset
- Must have strong knowledge of the machining operations;
- Familiar with bill of materials (BOM) structure for fabrication;
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills;
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats
- Effectively communicate information with managers and other employees
- Motivated to learn and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness to be cross train and cross train co-workers is an asset
- Security clearance, including criminal record check
- Own steel-toe safety, CSA certified
